Alamo Drafthouse Cinema 10 Screen Dine-In Movie Theatre Coming to Orlando

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (Facebook | Instagram | Website) announced its plans this week to open its first location in Orlando at Vineland Pointe, a new 450,000 square foot retail shopping center at the intersection of I-4 and Daryl Carter Parkway.

Alamo Drafthouse Orlando is a ten screen dine-in theater with approximately 942 luxury recliners and an attached full-service bar and restaurant.

Guests order all food and drinks from servers who quietly attend to them throughout the movie from inside the theater. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment. Instead of a barrage of advertising, Alamo Drafthouse shows a curated collection of rare and humorous clips themed to each feature.

Each auditorium will be equipped with top-of-the-line digital 4K projection and dynamic surround sound, and fully outfitted with luxury recliners that are equipped with footrests.

The theater is expected to open in 2020.

The new theater will also feature The Big Show, Alamo Drafthouse’s Premium Large Format concept that showcases the very best presentation standards available today, including Dolby Atmos’ immersive sound technology and a laser projection system.

Continuing the company’s commitment to preserving 35mm, Alamo Drafthouse Orlando will also feature 35mm changeover projection so that both classic films and new releases can be experienced in glorious celluloid.

Alamo Drafthouse’s repertory programming will include Movie Party celebrations of classic favorites like ELF, PRINCESS BRIDE, and GHOSTBUSTERS, deep dives into classic movies, documentaries and foreign language films as well as family-friendly choices like low-cost “Kids Camp” screenings that raise money for local nonprofits and schools.
