How Businesses Can (and Cannot) Use the Term 'Creative Village'

The City of Orlando established Creative Village more than a decade ago and the Creative Village “mark” (name and logo) is a licensed trademark owned by the City of Orlando.

Businesses wanting to use the name must read the Trademark License Agreement which states the specific manner in which businesses may use the Creative Village mark.

Businesses and entities may not use this mark in any naming, marketing or branding efforts, without first consulting with the City and obtaining a license for such use. This includes all print and web-based materials, including domain names.

The Director of the City’s Economic Development Department is authorized to execute form Trademark License Agreements with businesses operating within the boundaries of Creative Village.

Any Trademark License Agreement with a business operating outside the boundaries of Creative Village would be brought back to Council for consideration
