The Delaney Hotel (Website) and Delaney's Tavern (Website) at 1315 S Orange Ave (MAP) in the SODO District is holding its grand opening and ribbon cutting Thursday, September 19th. The developer, Greg Allowe, plans to expand the concept to new markets and is currently scouting locations in Winter Park, Tampa and Jacksonville.
The hotel rooms feature state-of-the-art, modern amenities. The in-room touchscreen digital concierge enables guests to order room service, request new towels and set the alarm clock.
Greg Allowe, developer and president of The Delaney Hotel and Delaney’s Tavern, said "We’ve anticipated every need guests might have from the time they wake up to lights out. Human motion studies guided exact placement of light switches, which are located on the headboard within reach of the average person’s arm length. We built clocks into the bathroom mirrors to help guests stay on time in the morning. Everything is very intentional. Before you think it, it’s there.”
At 400 square-feet, rooms are significantly larger than the average hotel room to meet the need of long-term visits. Suite sizes top 1,100 square feet.
Rates for the 54 rooms are moderately priced for the value.
In-room spa services are also available.
About 65 percent of stays at this SODO location are expected to come from medical travel related to Orlando Health, located across the street.
