There's a new bakery and coffee shop in downtown Orlando.
Mecato Bakery & Cafe (Facebook | Website) started its soft opening Monday at 20 N. Orange Avenue (MAP).
They specialize in pastries and baked & fried savory treats from Colombia including Empanadas, Pan De Bono, and Arepas Rellenas. They also offer a full line of coffee drinks, hot chocolate, and fruit smoothies.
The bakery has two additional Orlando locations in Waterford Lakes and Lake Underhill.
The restaurant is part of four new retail spaces recently added to the first floor of the office building called "20 N. Orange Ave." The spaces face Orange Avenue and lie across the street from Wall Street Plaza. They range from 1,072 SF t to 5,013 SF and come with patio space for outdoor seating. The exterior renovations included the addition of new glass storefront doors and exterior lighting.
