La Boulangerie plans to open and operate a new French bakery at 125 East Pine Street inside the Modera Central building (MAP). The project consists of a complete interior renovation of approximately 1100 SF of space. Total capital investment for this project is approximately $200,000.
The restaurant will serve "pastries, baguettes, croissants, charcuterie, fondue, wine and more" according to Orlando Business Journal.
The business has requested assistance through the City of Orlando's Business Assistance Program. Total eligible fees for Eiffel Restaurant, LLC d/b/a La Boulangerie under the Business Assistance Program are $10,729.09. The BAP will pay fifty percent of eligible fees ($5,364.55). The fee breakdown is as follows: Sewer Benefit Fee @ 50% = $2,009.70, Transportation Impact Fee @ 50% = $3,354.85.
The Business Assistance Program (BAP) is a matching grant program that was approved by the Orlando City Council on June 18, 2001 to encourage small businesses to locate, expand or redevelop in the City of Orlando. The Business Assistance Program assists with small-scale infrastructure projects, building permitting fees and impact fees. The BAP pays fifty percent of eligible fees. The maximum amount granted under the program guidelines is $20,000.
This goes before City Council for approval November 11th as a Consent Agenda item.
