Orlando Sentinel to Vacate Its Downtown Building

Orlando Sentinel is leaving the office building it occupied since 1951 in downtown Orlando at 633 N Orange Avenue (MAP).

Publisher and General Manager Nancy Meyer emailed the newspaper's employees the news Wednesday. "...amid a pandemic that prevents us from safely returning to the office for an undetermined period of time, the company decided to formally close the Orange Avenue office on October 30, 2020,” she wrote.

Employees homed to the downtown location have been and are currently working from home.

The property was sold in 2014 to a Miami developer and the printing press operation in the downtown campus closed in 2017.
