According to Orlando Sentinel, the Gap in downtown Winter Park at 400 S Park Avenue (MAP) is closing January 26, 2020. Back in March, the company announced it would split in two and close 230 stores closing over the next two years. Old Navy spun off into its own company and the Gap company changed its name to NewCo which contains the brands Banana Republic, Athleta, Intermix, Hill City, and Gap.
Just across the street, the restaurant Mon Petit Cheri Cafe (Facebook) at 331 S Park Avenue (MAP) closed during the summer. Belicoso Cigars and Cafe (Facebook) moved from its prime spot at 334 N Park Avenue to the Mills Park shopping center at 1618 N Mills Ave in the Mills 50 District.
